Pune Airport Issues Fog Advisory As Dense Fog In North India Disrupts Flight Operations
Pune, December 29, 2025: Pune Airport has issued a weather advisory cautioning passengers about possible flight delays and disruptions due to dense fog conditions affecting several parts of North India. The advisory, issued on Sunday, follows a sharp drop in visibility at select northern airports, which has the potential to impact flight schedules, including arrivals and departures connected to Pune.
According to the advisory, dense fog prevailing across North India on December 29, 2025, has reduced visibility levels at multiple airports, leading to operational challenges for airlines. Passengers travelling to or from Pune Airport on routes linked to northern destinations have been advised to stay in regular contact with their respective airlines for the latest updates before heading to the airport.
Airport authorities have urged travellers to plan their journeys carefully, allow additional time for airport arrival and check-in procedures, and rely only on official communication channels for accurate information regarding flight status. Pune Airport officials said passenger safety remains the top priority amid adverse weather conditions.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has activated passenger facilitation measures at affected airports and deployed assistance teams to support travellers on the ground. These teams are assisting passengers with information, coordination and necessary on-site support to minimise inconvenience caused by weather-related delays.
As part of the advisory, passengers have been provided with airline customer support numbers for quick assistance. IndiGo can be contacted at 0124 497 3838, Air India at 011 6932 9333, SpiceJet at +91 124 498 3410 or +91 124 710 1600, Air India Express at +91 124 443 5600 or +91 124 693 5600, Akasa Air at 9606112131, and Alliance Air at 044 3511 3511.
