Pune Airport to Conduct Emergency Blackout Drill Tonight
Pune | May 10, 2025: Pune Airport will carry out an emergency blackout drill on Saturday, May 10, at 8:30 PM. The 30-minute exercise is being organized in coordination with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), the Indian Air Force (IAF), and commercial airlines, as part of a routine emergency preparedness procedure.
According to airport authorities, the drill will simulate a total power failure scenario to test the airport’s emergency response systems and coordination among various agencies.
Key Features of the Drill:
- Total Blackout: All airport lighting and power systems will be switched off temporarily to simulate an emergency situation.
