The wait for the opening of a new airport terminal at Pune airport is over. The Minister of State For Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol today announced that the new terminal at the Pune airport is ready to be functional from July 14. He said, “After completing the requirements of CISF personnel & other technicalities, the new terminal of Pune Intl Airport is set to be at the service of citizens, from 14th July, Sunday.  As an inaugural gesture, I will be handing over my boarding card to the first passenger, at 1 PM.” 

Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, has been actively working to improve airport infrastructure across Maharashtra. In recent discussions with Sanjeev Kumar, Chairman of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), they addressed key projects such as the expansion of Pune Airport and the development of new airports in Purandar, Solapur, and Akola.

Mohol announced that the AAI will conduct the Obstacle Limitation Surfaces (OLS) Survey on July 8, following the necessary permissions from the Defence Ministry for the runway expansion at Pune Airport. The talks focused on streamlining the expansion process and planning for future stages of development.
