Pune : Ambegaon gets a new pin code and post office 

The post office located at Dattanagar of Ambegaon was shifted to Katraj. Locals had applied to the postal department to get a new post office for Ambegaon Budruk locality.

Moreover, considering the increasing urbanization in Ambegaon area, the postal department informed that a new office will be operational in the area of ​​Lake Vista Society at Ambegaon Khurd, Shaninagar Chowk, actively responding to the demand.

Indian Postal Department has given Ambegaon a new pin code of 411073. The postal department informed that a new post office will be opened at Ambegaon Khurd in the next two months.

The newly incorporated villages in the Pune Municipal Corporation are developing rapidly. Therefore, the demand for post offices was getting stronger from the locals. Considering this demand and to provide postal facilities to the citizens, the postal department has started expanding the network of post offices in new suburbs.

After Ambegaon, post offices will be started at Sahakarnagar and Bavdhan. Assistant Superintendent of Posts SR Sable informed that all these three offices will be operational within a period of six months.

An official said that the post office in Ambegaon area has received approval from the center. Besides, the space required for this is also available with the municipal corporation. They have corresponded with the municipal corporation to get a place. The post office at Ambegaon will start in the next two months.

A resident said that after the relocation of the office at Dattanagar, the senior citizens of Ambegaon, Jambhulwadi, Kolewadi had to go to Katraj for small and big reasons. While going, the seniors were facing hardships while traveling. So, they had written a request to the postal department to open a new office at Ambegaon.
