Pimpri-Chinchwad: The long-awaited decision for the allocation of land for the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate has finally been made. The State Government’s Revenue and Forest Department has approved the provision of 3 hectares and 39 r of government land in Jadhavwadi-Chikhali (Survey No. 539) for the Police Commissionerate office, residential quarters, and parade ground.

During the ongoing monsoon session of the State Legislature in Mumbai, BJP MLA Mahesh Landge met with the State Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis to discuss land for the Police Commissionerate, Chikhali Police Station, and the establishment of the Dapodi Police Station, pressing for a resolution on these matters.

MLA Mahesh Landge stated, “We have successfully fought for the establishment of an independent Police Commissionerate for Pimpri-Chinchwad. On August 15, 2018, the then Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the Commissionerate. However, there was no dedicated building for the Commissionerate. We consistently pursued this issue with the state government and relevant departments, and now we have achieved success.”

The path is now clear for the construction of a grand structure for the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate on the allocated land in Jadhavwadi, Chikhali (Survey No. 539). This location will also include residential quarters for police officers and a parade ground. Additionally, 9 gunthas of land have been designated for the Chikhali Police Station building. Therefore, the construction of both the Commissionerate and Chikhali Police Station is now on track, said MLA Landge.

The Police Commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune, will use this government land solely for the approved purposes. Furthermore, it is mandatory to commence use for the approved purposes within three years from the date of possession of the land, as per the conditions under which the land has been approved.

MLA Mahesh Landge expressed his gratitude, stating, “In my constituency of Moshi-Chikhali, land has been allocated for the construction of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. Additionally, Pimpri-Chinchwad Court, Government Engineering College, the proposed Moshi Government Multispecialty Hospital, the International Industrial Exhibition and Convention Center, and notably, the first ‘Constitution Building’ in India are being developed here. This area in the included villages is now emerging as a ‘hub of administrative institutions.’ I sincerely thank Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the entire Mahayuti government on behalf of all Pimpri-Chinchwad residents.”
