Pune: Blood Donation Camp At Amanora R2 Draws 37 Donors
Pune, May 19, 2026: A blood donation camp held today at the Amanora R2 Clubhouse, organized jointly by the Rotary Club of Pune Amanora and Amanora Agrawal Samaj with support from a Blood Bank, attracted 37 voluntary donors from the Amanora township.
Medical teams from Blood Bank handled donor screening, collection, and post‑donation care while following all safety protocols. More than 60 residents visited the camp, but 37 were cleared to donate after standard health checks.
Organizers said the camp was convened urgently following recent PunePlus alerts about reduced blood supplies across the city. Hospitals had reportedly been advised to postpone non‑emergency surgeries, increasing the need for immediate donations.
The drive aimed to replenish local reserves and ease pressure on healthcare facilities.
Organizers thanked donors and volunteers for their support and urged more community members to donate regularly to ensure adequate blood stocks. The camp was guided by Amanora Agrawal Samaj President Dinesh Agrawal, and Rotary Club of Pune Amanora President D.D. Mishra and project‑led by Saraswati Venkat and Ankit Agrawal, with the active participation of all body members of both clubs contributing to its success
