Pune, May 19, 2026: Fuel prices in Pune have been increased once again, marking the second hike within five days and adding further pressure on household and transportation expenses. The revised rates were informed by the Pune District Petrol Dealers Association.

As per the latest revision effective from May 19, petrol prices in Pune have increased by 91 paise per litre, while diesel prices have gone up by 94 paise per litre.

  • Petrol: Increased from ₹106.98 to ₹107.89 per litre
  • Diesel: Increased from ₹93.45 to ₹94.39 per litre

The latest revision comes shortly after oil marketing companies had already announced a ₹3-per-litre hike earlier this week, triggering concerns among commuters, transport operators, and daily consumers.

Across the country, fuel prices have witnessed a steady upward trend amid volatility in global crude oil markets and rising geopolitical tensions in West Asia. Major metropolitan cities also recorded fresh increases in retail fuel rates on Monday.

In New Delhi, petrol prices rose from ₹97.77 to ₹98.64 per litre, while diesel increased from ₹90.67 to ₹91.58 per litre.

The repeated hikes within a short period are expected to impact transportation costs, logistics, and essential commodities, with experts warning of a possible ripple effect on inflation.
