Pune: Residents Call For Safety Measures On Porwal Road Following Several Accidents

Pune- In a shocking incident, a truck crushed a pedestrian to death at the RMC Plant in Prayeja City on Sinhagad Road around 11 AM. “The truck crashed into two pedestrians near RMC Plant. Both of the victims are women, one died on the spot while the other suffered some injuries and was admitted at Navale Hospital on Sinhagad Road. Further investigation is underway”, informed a police officer from Sinhagad Road Police Station.
The local residents promptly called the police and narrated the incident to Pune city police after which a police team arrived at the spot for inspection. Further details will be available after a record of observation by witnesses (panchnama) is created.
However, it has been mentioned that the deceased woman was a construction worker. There were several witnesses available at the site after the accident occurred. A few of them expressed that the truck driver was seen absconding from the location. Currently, the investigation is ongoing and other details will be made available soon.
