Pune, January 5, 2026: With the aim of creating awareness about the CF@11 manifesto among citizens of Ward 11 and prospective candidates participating in the upcoming Pune Municipal Corporation elections, CF@11 (Citizens Forum at 11), Kothrud held a Citizen Awareness Campaign March on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

The silent march took place from 9:30 am to 11:00 am and was intended to promote informed civic participation without disturbing public peace. 

According to CF@11, the march commenced sharply at 9:30 am from MIT College GLOBE and concluded at Sigma One. Participants followed a predefined route covering Paud Road, Bedekar Ganpati Galli, Sai Ganpati Chowk, Sneh Paradise Corner, Doordarshan Kendra, Shilpa Society and Swapnapurti Hall, before reaching the final destination.

Specific guidelines were issued for participants to ensure discipline and decorum. The start and conclusion of the march was conducted peacefully, maintaining complete silence throughout the route. 

CF@11 is an active, non-political citizens’ group that has been working for the holistic development of Ward 11 since 2018. The group represents over 60 housing societies and more than 11,900 citizens, and continues to play a key role in promoting civic awareness and participatory governance.

Citizens Manifesto: 

  • 1. Ward-wise proper, environment-friendly town planning and control over unregulated growth.
  • 2. Encroachment-free ward – all footpaths and roads to be free from all types of encroachments and hawkers; encroachment-free footpaths.
  • 3. Flexes / hoardings / banners–free ward.
  • 4. A safe and efficient transport system giving top priority to pedestrians and public transport (PMPML, Metro).
  • 5. Conservation and protection of nature, with a complete ban on all types of encroachments and construction on hills and HTHS areas.
  • 6. Resolution of all issues related to MIT WPU institutions, with special focus on controlling unregulated expansion.
  • 7. Priority completion of DP (Development Plan) roads.
  • 8. Ban on illegal sale of tobacco, gutkha and cigarettes, and smoke-free public spaces.
  • 9. Ban on DJs, laser and plasma speakers at all public events, and strict enforcement of noise control norms in residential areas.
  • 10. Measures against wrongful practices, inaction and bias by government employees.
  • 11. Making all open spaces encroachment-free for citizens and ensuring their proper use (gardens, playgrounds, etc.).
  • 12. Action against all illegal hostels in the ward.
  • 13. 100% wet and dry waste segregation and processing – dry, sanitary and garden waste management.
  • 14. Time-bound and necessary action on citizens’ complaints.
  • 15. Regular and open communication between citizens and public representatives (monthly meetings).
  • 16. Ban on free services and distribution of free goods to ineligible and unqualified individuals.
  • 17. Automation of PMC operations with the help of artificial intelligence and the latest technology.
  • 18. Information kiosks and LED/LCD displays to provide information to citizens in the ward.
  • 19. Uninterrupted electricity and water supply for all.
