Pune Chef Sarvesh Jadhav Bakes Over 4,600 Mini Pizzas, Sets Record with a Heartwarming Twist
Pune-based chef combines culinary creativity and social responsibility by crafting the world’s tiniest pizza for underprivileged children.
Pune, Maharashtra: Chef Sarvesh Jadhav, the force behind Austin 40 Cafehouse on Bhandarkar Road, attempted an extraordinary record by baking over 4,600 one-inch pizzas in just five hours. This unique feat was accomplished in the presence of officials from the Limca Book of World Records and has gained significant attention for its innovative approach.
While most chefs aiming for world records focus on the largest or longest pizzas, Chef Jadhav decided to make smaller pizzas count. The initiative was inspired by an emotional moment when he witnessed underprivileged children consuming leftover pizza. Moved by this, he created the “Button Pizza,” priced at just ₹1, to make the joy of eating pizza accessible to those who otherwise might not afford it.
Supported by a team of 20-25 chefs, the pizzas were distributed to children from a local orphanage in Pune, ensuring the record-breaking effort also made a difference in the community. Chef Jadhav’s compassion and creativity have garnered media recognition and secured him a place in the Limca Book of Records.
This endeavor stands as a testament to blending culinary artistry with a deep sense of social responsibility, proving that even the smallest acts of kindness can create a lasting impact.
