To solve the traffic congestion in the Pune-Chakan-Shingnapur area, Pune to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar green expressway will soon be built on BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) basis, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India Nitin Gadkari informed in the question hour in the Lok Sabha.

As per further information in this regard, while replying to a sub question asked by Shrirang Barane of Shiv Sena, Gadkari said that the traffic density is more in Pune-Chakan industrial area.

Due to this, it is proposed to construct a flyover from Chakan-Talegaon to Shingnapur. For this, from Pune to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the expressway will be constructed on BOT basis. He said that this route will help to solve the problem of traffic congestion.
