Pune City To Face Full-Day Water Supply Disruption On April 3 Due To Maintenance Work
Pune residents will face a full-day water supply shutdown on Thursday, April 3, 2025, as the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) carries out critical maintenance work across multiple water treatment and pumping facilities. Additionally, several areas may experience low water pressure on the morning of Friday, April 4.
The PMC Water Supply Department has scheduled essential repairs, including electrical, pumping, and structural maintenance at key locations such as the Parvati Water Treatment Plants (old and new), Bhama Askhed, Holkar Water Centre, Vadgaon Water Centre, Rajiv Gandhi Pumping Station, Warje Water Centre, and other associated reservoirs and facilities.
Areas Affected:
The water supply disruption will impact several localities, including:
- Guruwar Peth, Budhwar Peth, Nana Peth, Lohia Nagar, Mukund Nagar, Ghorpade Peth, Sahakarnagar, Bibwewadi, Maharshinagar, Gangadham, Lake Town, Shivtejanagar, Upper Indiranagar, Deccan, Shivajinagar, Swargate, and various Peth areas.
- Katraj, Ambegaon, Dhankawadi, Hingne, Sinhagad Road surroundings.
- Lohgaon, Viman Nagar, Vishrantwadi, Yerwada, Dhanori, and nearby regions.
- Baner, Balewadi, Bavdhan, and parts of Pashan, Aundh, Model Colony, Gokhale Nagar, Kothrud, and Karve Nagar.
- Hadapsar, Mundhwa, Ramtekdi Industrial Area, Kharadi, EON IT Park, Chandan Nagar, and surrounding residential zones.
PMC has advised residents to store sufficient water in advance and use it judiciously during the shutdown. Water supply is expected to be restored gradually by Friday afternoon.
