In order to receive the prestigious Shiv Chhatrapati Award meant for sports personalities, a coach submitted fake documents for the players he had trained.

A case has been filed against the coach for this offense. This deceitful act occurred between 2019-20, 2020-21, and 2021-22 at Prabhat Road, Erandwane. A case has been filed against Ashutosh Muralidhar Jagtap by Ganesh Popat Patil at Hinjawadi Police Station on Wednesday.

The police mentioned that Jagtap was supposed to provide an affidavit for the athletes he trained to be eligible for the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Award. However, Jagtap used a stamp paper worth Rs 100 in the name of the plaintiff’s son to create a fake certificate. By submitting these fraudulent documents to the government, he deceived both the complainant and the government. The Hinjawadi police are currently conducting further investigations into this matter.
