Pune, November 13, 2025: A pre-wedding photoshoot turned costly for a Pune-based couple after they conducted it without official permission inside the Mandai Metro Station. The Maha-Metro administration has taken punitive action against five individuals, including the couple and their photographer, for violating metro regulations.

According to Pune Metro authorities, conducting any private or commercial shoot inside metro premises requires prior approval. Applicants must specify the time, number of participants, and other details, after which a fee is charged. However, the couple reportedly ignored these norms and went ahead with their shoot, breaching public property regulations.

Despite repeated public announcements warning against photography and videography inside the station, the couple and the photographer continued their session, prompting the metro administration to impose fines.

Officials stated that such actions disrupt station operations and pose safety risks. The Maha-Metro reiterated that prior permission is mandatory for all types of filming or photoshoots within metro premises, and violators will face strict penalties.

The incident has sparked discussions on social media, with many urging citizens to respect public infrastructure and follow established rules.
