Pune: Customer Finds Dead Cockroach In Pasta At Baner Restaurant, Complaint Filed With FDA
Pune, July 14, 2026: A customer has alleged finding a dead cockroach in a serving of pasta at a restaurant in Baner and has claimed to have fallen ill after consuming part of the dish.
According to the complainant, the incident occurred at The Legends Sports Bar on Pancard Club Road, Baner, at around 9:30 pm on July 12. The customer said they had ordered Spaghetti Aglio e Olio and discovered a dead cockroach in the dish after taking two to three bites.
The complainant alleged that they experienced vomiting and a headache after consuming the food.
The customer further claimed that after the matter was brought to the attention of the restaurant staff, the manager requested them not to file a formal complaint and instead offered a complimentary dessert.
The complainant has raised the issue with the concerned authorities, seeking appropriate action over the alleged lapse in food hygiene and safety.
The allegations have not been independently verified, and The Legends Sports Bar has not yet issued a public response to the claims.
