Pune, July 14, 2026: Rekha Agarwal, the mother of slain Pune-based realtor Ketan Agarwal, has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking speedy justice for her son and urging that those accused in the case be awarded the strictest punishment under the law.

In her letter, Rekha Agarwal described the profound loss suffered by her family following her son’s death, saying she had always hoped to see him build a happy life, get married, and grow old with his family.

Instead, she wrote, the family was left to perform his last rites.

She further said that the tragedy was compounded when her father-in-law passed away just 20 days after Ketan’s death. According to her, he was deeply attached to his grandson and was unable to cope with the grief, resulting in the family losing two generations within a short span.

Appealing for justice, Rekha Agarwal said she was not seeking sympathy but a fair and timely investigation. She urged the Prime Minister to ensure that the case receives the attention it deserves and that justice is delivered without unnecessary delay.

Ketan Agarwal was allegedly murdered on June 18 at Lohagad Fort in Pune district. Police have alleged that he was pushed off a cliff by his fiancée, Siya Goyal (20), and her alleged accomplice, Chetan Chaudhary (22). The couple was reportedly engaged, and Ketan and Siya were scheduled to marry in November 2026.

Both accused were arrested during the investigation and have been remanded to police custody until July 16. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
