Pune, February 16, 2026: Prioritising citizens’ concerns and public interest, a delegation led by corporator Sunil Pandey submitted a formal representation to Naval Kishore Ram, Commissioner of the Pune Municipal Corporation, seeking the immediate relocation of the ‘Kalakar Katta’ at Gopal Krishna Gokhale Chowk, popularly known as Goodluck Chowk.

Pandey met the Commissioner at the civic headquarters and presented a written application highlighting the difficulties faced by residents in Ward No. 29 due to the structure. According to the submission, the presence of the ‘Kalakar Katta’ has narrowed the roadway, leading to frequent traffic congestion and inconvenience, particularly for local residents and senior citizens. He stated that complaints regarding traffic disruption and related issues had been consistently raised by citizens over the past several months.

As an elected representative of the ward, Pandey said it was his responsibility to convey the residents’ concerns to the civic administration. The Commissioner accepted the application and conducted an on-site inspection of the location soon after.
