Pune: Dhanashree Aashiyana Society In Handewadi Installs 50 kW Solar Plant, Sets Benchmark For Sustainable Living
Pune, 24 November 2025: In a major push toward sustainable community development, the Dhanashree Aashiyana Co-operative Housing Society in Handewadi inaugurated a 50 kW solar power plant on Sunday, marking a significant milestone in its green energy journey. The solar facility was unveiled by Chief Guest Pramod Bhangire, in the presence of Rakesh Zambre and a large gathering of enthusiastic residents.
The project has been driven by Society Chairman Manoj Jadhav, Secretary Arun Shetty, and Treasurer Premanand Khute, who have collectively worked to bring renewable energy solutions to the housing society.
During the inauguration, Bhangire praised the society’s forward-looking approach and outlined plans for upcoming infrastructural upgrades that will benefit Dhanashree Aashiyana as well as neighbouring communities. He highlighted the importance of adopting clean energy initiatives at the community level to support long-term environmental resilience.
Chairman Manoj Jadhav expressed gratitude to the management team and residents for their support in making the project a reality. “This 50 kW plant is a humble yet meaningful step toward renewable energy. With this installation, we expect to generate nearly 73,000 kWh annually. While this will significantly reduce our electricity expenses, our primary focus is its lasting positive impact on the environment,” he said.
With the commissioning of the solar plant, Dhanashree Aashiyana Society has strengthened its commitment to sustainability. The initiative underscores how collective community action can effectively contribute to reducing carbon footprints and building a greener future.
