Pune, August 21, 2025: The long-pending DP Road project in Dhayari has once again sparked public outcry as residents have taken to displaying banners across the area, urging Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar to personally visit the site and ensure swift action.

The banners, installed by the Dhayari Gaon DP Road Welfare Trust, carry a direct message to the senior leader: “Dada, please visit Dhayari’s DP Road once. The work will only start after your visit.” Residents say the road has remained incomplete for years despite multiple promises from authorities.

Locals highlight that Dhayari is witnessing worsening traffic congestion, poor road conditions and a rapid increase in population, making the completion of this key infrastructure project essential for better connectivity and public safety. They fear that further delay will only aggravate civic issues, impacting daily commuting and emergency services.

The residents have appealed to the local administration and elected representatives to expedite the approval and execution process. “This is not just about convenience; it is about basic infrastructure that has been neglected for far too long,” said a representative of the trust.

Issuing a strong warning, the residents stated they will not remain silent until the DP Road is completed and opened for public use.
