There are 80.73 lakh voters in the Pune district according to the draft voter list released by the district collector’s office in Pune for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. On January 5, 2024, the district administration would release the final voter list following comments and revisions made to the draft.

In terms of voters, Pune cantonment has the fewest voters in the district, while Chinchwad is the largest assembly constituency.

The district’s election officer, District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh, stated that the draft voter list was released on October 27 by the district administration. Opposition and suggestions from the public could be submitted until December 9. The final voter list would then be released on January 5, 2024, after the district administration has until December 26 to review each objection.

The district has 80.73 lakh eligible voters, of whom 42.25 lakh are male, 37.84 lakh are female, and 524 are transgender. This information is based on the draft voter list.

Over 8 lakh voters have been removed by the election commission in the last three years due to issues like duplicate entries, deaths, address changes, and other circumstances.

Voters can turn in these forms to the poll worker, and following review of the forms, the final voter list will be made public.

Form 6 should be submitted by new voters in order to register their names. According to officials, they can also submit Form 7 to have their names removed in the event of a family member’s transfer or death, and Form 8 for any other corrections.
