Dr. Nina Borade, who served as the district reproductive and child health officer (DRCHO) in Nanded for the last three years, has an MD in PSM. Previously, she worked as the taluka health officer in Washim.

On Wednesday, the state government named Dr. Nina Madhukar Borade as the health chief of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). Dr. Borade previously served as the district reproductive and child health officer (DRCHO) in Nanded for three years. She has an MD in PSM and previously held the position of taluka health officer in Washim.

Dr. Borade has been appointed for a two-year term and will assume the role of health chief from Deputy Health Officer, Dr. Kalpana Baliwant on Friday.

On Thursday, Dr. Borade was relieved from her previous position and instructed to take charge in Pune. She has been directed to report to her new deputation post and provide a compliance report to both the government and the relevant authorities to confirm her new appointment.

Dr. Borade mentioned that she has been part of the public health department since 1999, and she intends to leverage her 25 years of experience to enhance healthcare services in Pune.

She emphasized that her significant experience in maternal and child health will play a vital role in improving public health services and meeting the healthcare requirements of the urban population.
