Pune: Elderly Woman From Kondhwa Rescued By Fire Brigade After Being Trapped In Home
Pune – On November 8, 2024, at 3:41 PM, the Fire Control Room received a call requesting assistance for an elderly woman trapped in her home in Kondhwa, Lullanagar, Pune, due to a locked door. A fire brigade vehicle from Kondhwa Khurd was dispatched immediately.
Upon arrival, the fire crew found the 71-year-old woman trapped inside her first-floor apartment after the main door had suddenly locked. She was reported to be unconscious. Acting quickly, the firefighters used a hydraulic combo kit to open the main door and enter the apartment. They found the woman lying unconscious on a bed and, following instructions from a doctor in the on-site 108 government ambulance, safely moved her to the ground floor, where she was taken for medical treatment. Doctors reported that her condition is now stable. Locals informed that the elderly woman lives alone in her apartment.
Residents praised the timely response and effective rescue operation by the fire brigade, crediting the team’s efforts for saving the woman’s life. The operation involved vehicle driver Satyam Choukande, team leader Mahadev Mangde, and firefighters Nilesh Wankhede, Sagar Dalvi, Harshad Yewale, Manoj Bharti, and Harsh Khade from the Kondhwa Khurd Fire Station.
