Pune: Empress Garden’s Buds ’n’ Blooms 2026 Flower Show To Begin From January 23
Pune, January 22, 2026: The iconic Empress Botanical Garden in Pune will open its much-awaited annual flower exhibition, Empress Garden Flower Show — Buds ’n’ Blooms 2026, from January 23 to 27, 2026. The exhibition, known for attracting visitors from across India and abroad, showcases Pune’s horticultural heritage and continues to be a major attraction for nature lovers, gardening enthusiasts, and families.
The exhibition will be formally inaugurated on Friday, January 23, at 12 pm by Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar. On the opening day, visitors will be allowed entry from 1 pm to 7 pm, while from January 24 to 27 the timings will be 9 am to 7 pm daily.
This year’s edition features several artistic and rare horticultural attractions, with Japanese Ikebana floral arrangements and a diverse collection of bonsai trees expected to draw significant attention. Spread across the lush historical premises of Empress Garden, the event offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy floral art, plant varieties, and garden landscaping at one destination.
The show will also see participation from renowned nursery owners and horticulturists from Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, Nashik, and other Indian states, making it a platform for statewide knowledge exchange and interaction within the floriculture community.
To encourage gardening culture, several competitions have been organised for the public, including floral arrangement contests, fruit and vegetable displays, and decorative pot competitions. Notably, there is no entry fee for participating in these competitions.
Alongside the floral displays, the event witnessed strong participation from schoolchildren. More than 800 students from various schools took part in recently conducted drawing and handwriting competitions, aimed at encouraging creativity and exposing children to the world of nature and plants.
With colourful installations, rare plants, and engaging activities, the Buds ’n’ Blooms Flower Show 2026 is expected to attract huge footfall throughout the five-day duration, offering a vibrant visual treat to visitors of all ages.
