Pune RTO Increases Driving License Test Appointment Quota From January 22

Pune, January 22, 2026: To make it easier for citizens to secure appointments for permanent driving license tests, the Regional Transport Office (RTO), Pune has increased the appointment quota at IDTR, Kasarwadi and the Alandi Road office, Phulenagar, effective from January 22, 2026. Appointments can now be booked between 6:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Candidates appearing for two-wheeler tests will have to report to the Alandi Road, Phulenagar office, while tests for all other vehicle categories (except two-wheelers) will be conducted at IDTR, Kasarwadi, Pune.

The appointment quota for permanent driving license tests has been revised as follows:
Applicants whose learner’s license is due to expire within the next 7 days will get an additional 99 appointment slots, distributed as:

  • Two-wheelers: 32
  • Three-wheelers: 13
  • Four-wheelers: 54

Learner’s license holders can only book these appointments within seven (7) days before the expiry of their learner’s license. Applicants have been urged to make use of the increased quota and book their appointments at the earliest, the Regional Transport Officer, Pune stated.
