Pune Faces Major Water Supply Cut on October 26 Due to Maintenance Work
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced a planned water supply disruption on Saturday, October 26, due to essential repair work at the Lashkar Water Supply Center. The repairs will affect the pumping line that directs water to the Ramtekdi Tank, leading to a complete shutdown of water supply in several parts of the city for the entire day.
The areas affected include Ramtekdi, Ramtekdi Industrial Area, Sayyadnagar, Heaven Park, Gosavi Basti, Shankar Math, Vaidu Badi, Ramnagar, Anandnagar, Mundhwa, Magarpatta, Hadapsar Akashwani, Sadesatra Nali, Keshavnagar, Hadapsar Gaothan, Satavwadi, Gondhale Nagar, Sasane Nagar, Kalepadal, Shinde Basti, Bhimnagar, Milind Nagar, Bharat Forge Area, parts of Mahammadwadi village, Taradewasti, Krishna Nagar, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, NIBM Road, Pokalemala, Paragenagar, Undri Road, and Handewadi Road.
Residents in these areas are informed that water supply will remain shut for the entire day on October 26. Additionally, water supply may resume late and at low pressure on the following day, October 27.
The PMC has advised citizens to store water in advance and use it judiciously during this period. Residents are urged to plan accordingly for the scheduled disruption.
