Pune Fire Brigade Rescues Man From Drowning In River
Pune – On September 12, 2024, at 3 PM, a man jumped into the river from the Thosar Paga ghat. Upon receiving this information, firefighters stationed at various immerssion ghats for Ganeshotsav celebrations immediately began rescue operations.
As the man suddenly jumped into the water, nearby firefighters Jitendra Kumbhar and Shailesh Davane, with the help of lifeguards Sandeep Shinde, Kapal Bhoite, Dattatray Chinake, and Santosh Gaikwad, quickly sprang into action.
They saw the man in the water and used a life jacket, life ring, and ropes to safely rescue him.
The man was identified as Santosh Chitrakumar Vishwakumar, but the reason for his jump remains unknown, as he could not swim.
