Pimpri, August 29, 2025: The new Thergaon Hospital under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has successfully completed its first major urology surgery, marking a milestone for the civic healthcare facility.

The patient, a 64-year-old with multiple kidney masses, was also suffering from diabetic ketoacidosis, left ventricular hypertrophy, and diastolic dysfunction, making the case highly complex. Prior to surgery, the anaesthesia and medicine teams worked in close coordination to stabilize the patient’s condition.

General anaesthesia was administered by Dr. Archana Gandhi, Dr. Pooja Kulkarni, Dr. Poonam Mane, and Dr. Arjit Repuriya. The procedure was skillfully performed by urosurgeons Dr. Sunil Palwe and Dr. Hanumant Phad, who successfully removed a 10 x 10 cm mass located near the upper and lower portions of the kidney.
