Mumbai, 29 August 2025: Celebrating Ganeshotsav with a creative twist, Bollywood couple Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh’s children, Riaan and Rahyl, have designed a unique robotics-based Ganpati idol this year, combining technology with tradition.
The young duo, passionate about football, worked with robotics experts for three months to bring their idea to life. Alongside the idol, they created a mini football court using eco-friendly materials, adding a playful element to the festive décor.
In this innovative setup, 22 mouse figurines represent players, while two modaks serve as the ultimate prize. The game is designed so that whichever team scores a goal moves its modak closer to Lord Ganesha. The first team to reach the deity wins – symbolizing devotion, skill, and fun. The figurines and modaks were crafted using advanced 3D printing technology.
This creative fusion of robotics and sports has turned the Deshmukh household Ganpati into a major highlight of the season, showcasing a perfect blend of innovation, eco-friendliness, and festive spirit.
