Pune: Hotel Worker Arrested for Secretly Filming Woman In Hadapsar Toilet, Police Probe Ongoing

Pune, May 23, 2025: In a deeply disturbing incident, a hotel worker has been arrested for secretly filming a woman in the toilet of a hotel in the Hadapsar area of Pune. The incident occurred at Kalika Hotel around 2:30 PM on Thursday.
The accused, identified as Bhimashankar Tippanna Charwadi (32), a resident of Karnataka, was caught red-handed after the woman noticed someone filming her through a gap in the partition sheet used in the restroom.
Upon realizing the invasion of her privacy, the woman immediately raised an alarm and alerted the police control room. Senior Inspector Sanjay Mogale of Hadapsar Police Station quickly responded to the scene and detained the accused.
A search of Charwadi’s mobile phone revealed that he had indeed recorded a video of the woman. A case has been registered based on the woman’s complaint.
Police have now launched an investigation to determine whether the accused had filmed other women in similar fashion. “We are checking the contents of his phone to assess the extent of his actions,” said Inspector Mogale.
Further legal action is underway.
