Pune is emerging as the startup hub

Pune January 28 – Increased interest of startups to make base in pune due to a great academic hub that provides the desired human capital needed for companies, access to business capital mumbai and increased interest of investors are all bearing good results for the city.
Once known as Oxford of East is now slowly taking leap to become startup hub. Not surprising that the National startup winners declared recently has five startups from the region and each making a glaring impact by way of innovation, social & economic impact, sustainable and scalable enterprises
Centre for innovation, incubation and linkages along with Savitribai Phule Pune University’s alumni association felicitated these startups Dr Aniruddha Joshi of Atreya Innovation pvt Ltd ,Chetan and Aditi Walunj of Repos IoT India Pvt Ltd, Dipak Rao of Pivot chain solutions technologies pvt Ltd , Ravi Kumar of Upcurve Business services pvt Ltd, and Akshay Dixit of Vesatogo Innovations pvt ltd.

Speaking on the occasion all the startups asserted on Pune as the ideal location for their company. Dipak Rao moved his base from Bangalore to pune to have access to pune startup eco system and ease of doing business. Akshay Dixit, Ravi kumar Chetan and Aditi Walunj all alumni of Savitribai Phule Pune University and dr Aniruddha Joshi who worked on his innovation in the city asserted with Pride of being a part of the University .
Dr Apoorva Palkar director Innovation, incubation and linkages in her opening remarks thrust on the interest shown by investors in Pune city and an investment of USD 537 that came in last one year with increased interest of investors not only from India but overseas. On this occasion the names of cluster level competitions were declared by Vice Chancellor Prof Nitin Karmalkar. The event was graced by Pro Vice chancellor Dr N S Umarani , Dr Prafulla Pawar Registrar, Rajesh Pande management council member , Dr Apoorva Palkar Director IIL, Management council members Prasenjit Fadnavis, Dr Sanjay Chakne and Dean Dr Sanjiv Sonawane, Alumni Relations officer Pratik Dama.

Dr. Nitin Karmalkar said ‘Startups recognised at the national level from pune region align to the focus areas of the university and its a proud moment for the university to felicitate alumni who have succeeded at the national level.’
