Pune : Keshav Nagar residents have formed a legal association under The Companies Act 2013 by the name of Keshav Nagar Welfare Association (KENWA) recently.

More than 40 societies from Keshav Nagar are in the process of becoming member of the association to voice their issues with civic authorities and government.

Keshav Nagar, which has been a part of PMC since 2017 lacks basic necessities like road, traffic, water, drainage facility, street lights etc. After many efforts from individual societies nothing has worked out for the residents. The legal association which is now formed will represent the majority of the societies of Keshav Nagar which has more than 10,000 families.

Last year, the residents of 30+ societies  did a silent protest with banners about the condition of Keshav Nagar but authorities did not take any positive action for the betterment of the residents.

Fear and frustration looms on Keshav Nagar residents as more and more projects are coming up in that area while there is no infrastructure to cater for the existing residents.

Residents have also been raising their voices on social media with #justiceforkeshavnagar to bring attention of authorities and politicians.

Residents interested to be a member of the Association can connect on [email protected].
