Pune : Kondhwa Police Engage Citizens in Pre-Ramadan Meeting to Address Concerns and Ensure Peaceful Celebration
A meeting was organized on March 7 at Kondhwa Khurd in Kondhwa Police Station on the occasion of the upcoming Ramadan Eid festival in Police Station and also to discuss the traffic problems and other problems.
As per further information shared by Santosh Sonawane, Senior Police Inspector, Kondhwa Police Station, the meeting was organized under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil. Senior officers like Deputy Commissioner of Police R Raja, Ingle, Assistant Commissioner of Police Wanowrie Division were present at the time. The attendees were guided by the senior officers.
Minorities Committee Pune City President Sameer Ansar Shaikh, Peace Committee Member Abid Syed, Maharashtra Action Committee President Zahid Shaikh, Former Corporator Gafur Pathan (Nationalist Congress Party), Haji Feroze Shaikh, Hasina Inamdar, Maulana Qari Idris, Maulana Anwar Sufi, Former MLA Mahadev Babar (Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray group), and other 120 to 125 Masjid trustees and members, as well as Pune Municipal Corporation Water Supply Department Officers, MSEDCL Officers and Employees, Pune Municipal Corporation Health Department Officers, Kondhwa Traffic Division Officers etc were present.
A discussion was held regarding implementation of all traffic related problems and the following guidelines were given:
1) Food stalls to be set up on the occasion of Ramadan Eid should be set up with the permission of Municipal Corporation, Traffic Department and other relevant departments.
2) No stall should be erected in such a manner as to obstruct traffic.
3) After setting up the stalls, parking of the said stall is necessary. Instructions have been given that strict vigilance should be taken in this regard.
4) Parking arrangements should be made properly during Namaz and volunteers from the Masjid Committee should be appointed at that time.
5) It was requested not to put up banners that would create offensive religious tension and if any sensitive situation is found, to report immediately to Kondhwa Police Station or dial 112 and help the police administration to maintain law and order.
