With the continuous rainfall affecting the state, including Pune district, the quantity of farm produce arriving at Market Yard in Gultekdi on Thursday saw a decline of around 30-35 percent. The inclement weather has impacted the transportation and supply of agricultural goods to the market.
The heavy rains on Wednesday night have had an impact on the farm produce arrival as well. There has been a 30 percent decrease in the arrival of agricultural goods compared to the previous week.
The situation at the market yard shows that many vegetable sellers are left with their agricultural commodities unsold. This has led to significant losses for the farmers due to the surplus of produce in the market.
