Pune: Man Attacked with Machete in Bhosari, Police Arrest 21-Year-Old; probe on

Bhosari police have arrested a 21-year-old man and booked his four to five accomplices for attempting to murder a 40-year-old man in a shocking machete attack.  

The injured, identified as Sahir Karim Shaikh, a resident of Bhosari, lodged a complaint with the Bhosari police. The accused, Vishal Bhimrao Kamble, a resident of Thergaon, was arrested on Sunday.

According to mypunecity, Shaikh is allegedly in a live-in relationship with Vishal’s mother, which had caused tension between them. The situation worsened when Shaikh allegedly refused to give Vishal a rickshaw. Infuriated, Vishal, along with his accomplices, attacked Shaikh with a machete, attempting to kill him.  

The brutal attack left Shaikh seriously injured. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and is undergoing treatment.

Police have registered a case against Vishal and his associates under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including attempt to murder. The Bhosari police are investigating the case further to identify and apprehend the other accused.  

A police official stated, “The accused was agitated over personal disputes and decided to take this extreme step. We are working to gather more evidence and 

locate the accomplices involved.”  

This incident has left the local residents shocked. Police have increased patrolling in the area to ensure safety. Further updates on Shaikh’s condition and progress in the investigation are awaited.
