Pune : Man Booked for Brutally Beating Pet Dog in Kondhwa

Pune: In a shocking case of alleged animal cruelty, a man has been booked by Pune police after being accused of brutally beating a four months old Siberian Husky puppy pet dog in Kondhwa.

The incident, which has sparked widespread outrage and condemnation, highlights the urgent need for stricter measures to protect animals and prosecute offenders.

The incident took place on 15 May in the Undri area of Pune city. The accused has been identified as Junaid Khan, viciously attacking a dog in the gallery of his flat. According to eyewitness accounts, the assailant repeatedly kicked and assaulted the helpless animal.

Concerned citizens who witnessed the distressing incident immediately contacted Mission Possible Foundation NGO. A team of NGO immediately rushed to the spot and rescued the dog from the accused’s house.

Animal Activist, Padmini Stump, “Accused brutally beaten up the puppy and when we approached they asked told us, dog is belong to them, they do whatever they want to do with dog.”

Stump further told we have approached the police station and a case against the accused has been registered at Kondhwa police station. Veterinary professionals are working diligently to stabilize the dog’s condition and provide necessary care.

Vijay Vagare, police sub inspector said , “As per complaint given by the complainant, an FIR has been registered at Kondhwa police station and further investigation in this case is going on.”
