Pune, April 2, 2026: A 47-year-old man was arrested in Pune for allegedly impersonating an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and attempting to mislead senior police officials.

The accused, identified as Pradyumna Shrihari Patil, a resident of Hinjawadi, reportedly visited the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) Rishikesh Rawale. He allegedly claimed to be Shinde’s OSD and tried to exert pressure on the officer, accusing the department of not conducting a proper investigation in a case.

Suspicious of his claims, DCP Rawale immediately verified his credentials. Upon inquiry, it was revealed that Patil was impersonating a government official.
