Pune Metro Announces Additional Facilities Added At Mandai, Ramwadi And Kasarwadi Stations For Commuters
Starting today, June 9, 2025, Gate No. 3 at Mandai Metro Station will be open for public use. In addition, escalator facilities will be made operational at the entry gates of Ramwadi and Kasarwadi metro stations, further enhancing convenience for daily commuters.
The Pune Metro project has introduced yet another commuter-friendly feature. From June 9, 2025, Gate No. 3 at the Mandai Metro Station will be officially open for passengers. Alongside, escalators will be functional at the entry gates of both Ramwadi and Kasarwadi metro stations, making transit smoother and more accessible.
Mandai Metro Station holds significant importance within the Pune Metro network. Located in the city’s central area, the station is near key localities such as Pune’s largest vegetable market, the wholesale hub of Raviwar Peth, Tulshibaug, and several religious and tourist destinations. This makes the station vital for citizens travelling to the heart of the city and the traditional peth areas.
The newly opened Gate No. 3 at Mandai Metro Station is situated near the Tilak Statue at Mahatma Phule Mandai. This entrance will make it easier for commuters to reach the following key locations:
* Babugenu Ganpati Temple
* Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati
* Datt Mandir
* Tulshibaug
* Tulshibaug Ram Mandir
* Shanipar

Escalator Facilities at Ramwadi and Kasarwadi Metro Stations:
Starting June 9, 2025, escalators will be operational at Gate No. 2 of Ramwadi Metro Station and Gate No. 3 of Kasarwadi Metro Station. While stairs and elevators were already available at these entrances, the addition of escalators will offer increased comfort, especially for senior citizens, children, and those carrying heavy baggage.
