In response to high demand, Pune Metro has unveiled a new daily pass priced at ₹100, allowing commuters to enjoy unlimited metro services throughout a business day, from 6 am to 10 pm.

The official Pune Metro X (formerly Twitter) handle announced that pass holders can travel without limits on both metro routes – from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to Civil Court and Vanaz to Ramwadi. Notably, pass holders have the flexibility to enter and exit multiple times at any station.

It is important to note that the pass fee is non-refundable and no discounts apply.

“Get unlimited access to Pune Metro all day! Purchase your pass now.”

The announcement follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent virtual inauguration of a significant 5.5km stretch of the Pune Metro. This extension completes the Vanaz to Ramwadi line, connecting the eastern and western parts of the city.

Commuters can now cover a distance of over 14.5km in just 36 minutes, with a fare of ₹30.

In addition to inaugurating the new stretch, the Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for the upcoming PCMC to Nigdi (Bhakti Shakti Chowk) route.

This elevated stretch, approved by the Centre in October last year, will feature four stations – Chinchwad, Akurdi, Nigdi, and Bhakti Shakti Chowk – spanning a total length of 4.413km, with an estimated project cost of ₹910.18 crore.
