The decision comes as thousands of citizens from various parts of the city gather to participate in the annual Ganeshotsav festivities.
During a press conference held at the Police Headquarters in Shivajinagar, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar disclosed that the directive to extend metro service timings had been issued to the relevant authorities. The objective behind this extension is to alleviate any inconveniences that citizens might face while commuting during the festive period.
The planning for Ganeshotsav 2023 was a subject of discussion during a meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil. Attended by key figures including MLA Madhuri Misal, Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Police Commissioner Ritesh Kumar, and officials from various Ganesh Mandals in the city, the meeting aimed to outline measures that would ensure a smooth and enjoyable celebration for all.
Addressing the gathering, Ajit Pawar acknowledged the numerous suggestions put forth by Ganesh Mandals and assured that the administration would actively consider these recommendations.
