Seven individuals including a MLA have been booked by the Telegaon police in connection with the murder of Kishore Aware, the Founder President of Janseva Vikas Samiti (Talegaon). The brutal incident took place in front of the Talegaon Dabhade Municipal Council on a Friday afternoon.

According to police, the accused include MLA Sunil Shelke, Sudhakar Shelke, Sandeep Garade, Shyam Nigadkar, and three unidentified accomplices. Sulochana Aware, Kishore Aware’s mother and former mayor of the Talegaon Dabhade Municipal Council, filed a complaint at the Talegaon Dabhade police station.

Police informed that Kishore Aware was actively engaged in social work through Janseva Vikas Samiti and had a political presence in Talegaon via Janaseva Vikas Seva Aghadi. This often led to conflicts with the MLAs and their political adversaries. Few months ago, Kishore Aware informed his mother about receiving threats to his life from MLA Shelke and his brothers, Sudhakar Shelke and Sandeep Garade.

Two years ago, Kishore Aware formed his own separate group, which stood in political opposition to Sunil Shelke. The complaint suggests that Kishore Aware’s activities posed a threat to Sunil Shelke’s dominance, potentially leading to the grave crime that transpired in the Talegaon area. On the fateful Friday afternoon, when Kishore Aware visited the municipal council office at around 12:30, Shyam Nigadkar and his three unidentified accomplices shot and stabbed him.

The Talegaon Dabhade police are currently investigating the case.
