Pune : MNS protests by planting saplings in potholes to draw attention to deteriorating road conditions

Pune: In a unique protest, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Party in Pune held a massive protest in different parts of the city by planting saplings in various potholes to draw the attention of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) towards the deteriorating road conditions.

As per information, on August 17, under the leadership of Sainath Babar, MNS Party President of Pune City, a protest was held against the PMC administration by planting trees on the pothole-ridden road on Katraj Kondhwa Road and Kondhwa Lulla Nagar Chowk in Hadapsar assembly constituency. The entire Pune city has become full of potholes with crater size potholes making it difficult to drive and leading to traffic congestion. 

Many people lost their lives too due to bad roads. On this occasion, many MNS leaders such as Amol Shiras, Amit Jagtap, Satish Shinde, Pune Lok Sabha Transport Sena president Sunil Andhare, branch president Ganesh Babar, deputy branch president Bharat Parkar and officers and Maharashtra soldiers were present.

MNS Staged Protest in Wagholi

In order to draw the attention of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) towards the pothole issue on roads, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Party held a unique protest by drawing rangoli, putting flowers, breaking coconuts, and putting garlands around potholes on Baif Road Chowk and Avalwadi Chowk.

As per the information, the MNS demanded that all the potholes should be repaired. The internal connecting roads should be developed. Work on the bypass road in Wagholi should be started as soon as possible. Additionally, they also demanded that the water woes faced by the residents should also be solved. Construction of skywalks, accessible toilets, setting up a garbage project, regular cleaning of the market area, and regular maintenance of street lights should be done.  

The protestors demanded that the road between Wagheshwar Temple and Kesnand Phata be constructed at a cost of Rs 11 crore, but now there are potholes everywhere, paver blocks have been uprooted, all the chambers have been broken and an inquiry should be made.

Prakash Jamdhade warned that if the civil issue in Wagholi is not resolved, MNS style will launch a more intense protest than Pune Municipal Corporation.

As per information from Prakash Jamdhade by the orders of MNS Party President Raj Thackeray, Pune City MNS Office Bearer Sainath Babar, Vadgaonsheri Vidhan Sabha Constituencies Divisional President Sunil Kadam led by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena on behalf of Wagholi protested against the potholes on the roads in Wagholi and the Pune Municipal Administration regarding the problem.

On this occasion, Ajay Palve, Vikas Gaikwad, Anand Sisale, Dinesh Kasde, Ratish Malhotra, Vishal Kalane, Ramchandra Chopde, Akshay Chopde, Swapnraj Khedkar, Subhash Jadwar, Sagar Vispute, Navneetlal Gugle, Gaikwad Kaka, Deepak Kumar, Mahesh Lokhande, Wagholi Women’s Branch President Vanitatai Jamhadhe, Leena Chopde, Savita Ambore, Jayashree Borade, Varsha Suryavanshi, Sarika Jadhav, Ashwini Jagtap, Geeta Kumar, besides various journalists, police administration officials and others were present in large numbers.
