Pune: Mohammadwadi Residents Demand PMC Action On Dusty, Damaged Road Due To RMC Trucks Near Vibgyor School
Pune, October 23, 2025: Residents of Mohammadwadi have appealed once again to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to repair a damaged road near D-Mart, Royale Heritage Mall, and Vibgyor School on NIBM Road, citing health hazards caused by cement dust pollution from frequent RMC truck movement.
Local resident Danish Khan has lodged a formal complaint with PMC, highlighting that cement residue left by concrete mixer trucks hardens and later turns into fine dust. “The air has become difficult to breathe, especially for schoolchildren walking or cycling along this stretch daily,” Khan said, adding that construction chemicals and dust could cause respiratory issues while accelerating the deterioration of the recently laid tarmac.
Khan shared photographic evidence of the poor road conditions and stated that despite several complaints, the problem persists without adequate response from authorities.
Residents are urging the PMC to take immediate steps to repair the damaged road and introduce regular cleaning measures to reduce dust pollution. With schools and residential complexes nearby, locals emphasize that timely action is crucial to ensure public safety and preserve road infrastructure.
