Pune Mumbai Expressway Accident : Container Hits MSRTC Bus: No injuries reported
An accident took place wherein a container truck (MH-04-HD 9930) collided with a MSRTC Shivsahi bus (MH-09 FL 1013) on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway. The accident was reported near the Adoshi Tunnel around 6.15 pm on August 22.
As per the information provided by Yogesh Bhosale, Assistant Police Inspector, Highway Police, Bor Ghat, he said, “A container truck travelling on the Pune-Mumbai lane lost control over the truck, causing the trailer to turn around and hit the Shivshahi bus coming from behind, in which the driver of the container truck sustained minor injuries. Around 30-35 passengers from the Shivshahi bus were accommodated in other buses.”
However, no casualty was observed in the accident, which led to a traffic jam. The damaged vehicles have been removed, and all three lanes are running smoothly for traffic. The complainant has been lodged at Khopoli police station. A thorough investigation was carried out in this case, added Bhosale.
