Prashant Jagtap, the City President of NCP in Pune, along with Dheeraj Sharma, Youth National President, visited Manipur to survey the aftermath of recent incidents. Engaging with journalists at the Press Club of Manipur, they shared their insights into the extensive damage caused and the dire conditions faced by the local population.

Prashant Jagtap highlighted, “The people of Manipur are currently enduring dire circumstances, with widespread destruction of homes, vehicles set on fire, and significant property damage. The affected residents lack basic essentials like clothing and medicines, and the government’s response has been inadequate. During our visit, we interacted with the affected communities to provide support during this challenging period. Despite the government’s inaction regarding rehabilitation and compensation, the NCP is committed to taking decisive steps. We will soon be delivering essential supplies to the camps in Manipur on behalf of the NCP.”

During their visit, Jagtap and Sharma engaged with children, women, and young individuals, understanding their concerns and anxieties. In the spirit of the upcoming Independence Day, they distributed chocolates, food, and the national flag, fostering a sense of unity and patriotism in the midst of these testing times.
