Pune: Recently, the technical fault that occurred in the 400 KV high-pressure power line from Talegaon to Shikrapur in Pune district on Saturday morning the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has clarified that Adani Company is responsible for the ownership and maintenance and repair of this high-pressure power line.

As per information, Powergrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has a 400/220 KV extra high voltage substation at Talegaon. Due to the failure of the 400 KV high-pressure line connecting them and the ultra high-pressure substation at Shikrapur, the electricity supply to the customers in the Pimpri Chinchwad area, Shikrapur, Urse, Theur, Perne etc areas was cut off on Saturday.

As the electricity demand decreased due to rain, electricity supply was restored in a phased manner from 10 am to 12.45 pm through load management.

However, it has been disclosed by PGCIL that the Talegaon-Shikrapur 400 KV power line which has suffered a technical failure does not belong to PGCIL, but the ownership and maintenance and repair responsibility of this line lies with Adani Company.
