Pune – July 14: Following temporary suspension of certificates for non-compliance with Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) instructions, 49 Aadhaar Center Operators have been granted permission to reopen their centers in the district. These centers are currently operational, providing Aadhaar services to the public.

Earlier, a total of 96 Aadhaar Center Operators in the district had their certificates temporarily frozen. These operators underwent online training and examinations, with 82 Center operators (Kendra chalaks) successfully passing the evaluation. Out of the 82 operators, 49 have reopened their centers, while 10 operators have been bonded by the UIDAI for a period of one year.

Regarding the remaining 37 operators, 18 of them are already registered with the UIDAI on the AMS portal. Authorities are in the process of seeking technical approval for their reinstatement. Aadhaar Coordinator and Deputy Collector Amita Talekar Dhumal has informed that these operators, along with all other Aadhaar operators, will resume operations in the coming days, as per instructions from the UIDAI officials.

The reopening of these Aadhaar Centers will ensure continued accessibility and convenience for residents in availing Aadhaar-related services within the district.
