Pune News: Bomb Scare Hits Three Hospitals From Pimpri, Turns Out To Be Hoax
A bomb scare gripped three hospitals in Pimpri city after they received emails claiming that explosives had been planted on their premises. The hospitals, located in Nigdi, Bhosari, and Chinchwad, were swiftly evacuated, and police teams, including a bomb disposal squad, were rushed to the scene.
The email, sent from a mysterious mail ID, sparked panic among hospital staff, patients, and visitors. However, after a thorough search of the premises, no suspicious items were found, and the bomb disposal squad gave the all-clear.
According to the police, the email was received by a private hospital in Bhel Chowk, Nigdi, which promptly informed the local police station. The police took no chances and called in the bomb disposal squad to scan the premises.
As the investigation unfolded, it emerged that two other hospitals in Bhosari and Chinchwad had also received similar emails, leading police to suspect a malicious hoax. Despite this, police teams still searched the premises of all three hospitals as a precautionary measure.
The police investigation continued late into the night to determine the authenticity of the emails and identify the person responsible for sending them. The incident has raised concerns about the spread of misinformation and the need for vigilance in public places.
Fortunately, no harm was caused, and the hospitals resumed normal operations after the all-clear sign was given. The police have urged the public to remain cautious and report any similar incidents promptly.
