In Pune, firefighters saved a brother and sister on Bhau Beej by rescuing them from their locked apartment and rushing them to the hospital in time. The incident took place late Sunday night in Vikas Nagar, Wanawadi. Fire services were alerted that a 19-year-old brother and a 24-year-old sister were trapped inside their locked home, both reportedly unconscious.

Responding promptly, fire brigade teams from BT Kawade Road and Kondhwa Khurd stations arrived at the scene. Upon arrival, they assessed the situation with local police and quickly used tools to break open the door. Inside, they found the siblings unconscious and immediately transported them to a nearby hospital for urgent care, saving their lives. Doctors confirmed that the timely medical assistance was crucial.

Wanowrie Police station officials informed that on November 3, 2024 at around 10:00 PM, two people named Jayant Mohan Kakade, aged 19, and Mrunal Mohan Kakade, aged 23, were found unconscious in their residence at Krishna Kanhaiya Society, Vikas Nagar, Wanawadi, Pune, after having an argument with their mother. They were admitted to Ruby Hall Hospital, Wanawadi, Pune, for medical treatment.

Once both patients regained consciousness, Police Sub-Inspector Dheeraj Kamble from Wanawadi Police Station inquired about the incident. It was revealed that the two young men had suffered a mental shock, leading them to become unconscious in their home. They stated that they had not consumed any poisonous substances, and the incident occurred due to mental distress. They also mentioned that they did not wish to file any complaints against anyone. Their detailed statements have been recorded accordingly.

The firefighters involved in the rescue expressed gratitude for being able to save the siblings on this meaningful day. The team included driver Datta Adalge, Satyam Chawkhade, and firefighters Subhash Khade, Sagar Dalvi, Nilesh Wankhede, Shreyas Mete, Mahesh Pandey, Suraj Hulwan, Harshvardhan Khade, Anurag Patil, and Ritesh More.
