On the auspicious occasion of Eid, Chinchwad Traffic Department, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Police Vishal Gaikwad, has issued temporary orders to ensure safe and smooth flow of traffic in Chinchwad, Maharashtra. Citing Maharashtra Government Home Department Notification No. 0996/871/C.R.37/T.R.A.2, dated 27/09/1996, the department under Sections 115, 116 (1) (A) (B), 116 (4), and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act.


To accommodate the large influx of citizens visiting Idgah Maidan for Namaz at Chafekar Chowk’s Idgah Maidan, several road diversions are in effect.

•Entry of vehicles from Mari aai Mata Temple to Chafekar Chowk is closed. Alternative Route 1 directs traffic via S K F Company Via Ahimsa Chowk.
•Entry of vehicles from Chafekar Chowk to Mari Aai Mata Temple is restricted. Two alternative routes are provided: Route 1 through Old Zakat (Toll) Naka From Right side through Seven Orange Hospital, 

•Entry of vehicles from Bijli Nagar, Hanuman Mandir, and Vetal Nagar to Chafekar Chowk is also closed. Vehicles should use the Hanuman Temple, via the left side road through Mari Aai Temple, or through Seven Orange Hospital route instead.


These restrictions will be in place on April 11, 2024, from 05:00 am to 12:00 pm, as per the lunar calendar. Citizens are urged to use alternative routes and avoid non-essential travel during this period.
The Transport Department assures that these measures aim to facilitate the smooth movement of traffic and ensure the safety of all residents during the festive celebrations.
