A complaint has been lodged against the owners of Vrindavan Society following the tragic death of three-and-a-half-year-old Girija Ganesh Shinde, who died after an iron gate fell on her. The incident occurred in Ganesh Nagar, Lane No. 2, Bopkhel.

On the fateful day, four children were playing near the gate of Vrindavan Society. While two of them went inside the gate, Girija and her friend remained outside. The two girls initially moved away from the gate but later ran back towards it. At that moment, the children inside pulled the gate, causing it to slide forward. Due to the absence of a stopper, the gate fell directly on Girija, resulting in severe injuries that led to her immediate death.

Girija’s father, Ganesh Shinde, filed a complaint at the Dighi police station, demanding action against the owners of Vrindavan Society. The police have registered a case against the owner, Srinivasulu Sandhiredi, and his mother. The charge cites negligence due to the lack of a safety stopper on the iron gate, which is believed to have contributed to the fatal accident.

As of now, the accused have not been arrested. The investigation is ongoing, and further actions are expected as more details emerge. The community is in mourning, and this tragic event underscores the importance of maintaining safety protocols to ensure the well-being of children and residents in housing societies.
